The Pink Panther is back on the track

Flux-sponsored superwoman Sarah Bennett-Baggs will be taking her Porsche Pink Panther to the track this season for the first time in four years.
The Rubystone red 1979 Porsche 911 3.0 SC fell victim to the Quarry corner in the starting lap of the Porsche Club Championship Race on August Bank Holiday 2008.

The Pink Panther comes a cropper

Rebuilt by Harvey Racing and raring to go, Pink Panther is back and ready to take on all-comers.
Sarah, who is sponsored by Adrian Flux Specialist Insurance, will be taking the recently-rebuilt 911 SC to the Future Classics series run by the Classic and Sports Car Club.
The series caters for sports, saloon and GT cars built in the glory years of the 1970s and 1980s. Each race lasts for more than 40 minutes with a mandatory pit-stop so that two drivers can compete.

...and now it's back ready for the new season.

“I am hoping to invite some old and new Porsche friends to join me throughout the season and I am really looking forward to getting back out racing a Porsche,” said Sarah.
She revealed there are also future plans to enter Pink Panther into the Tour Britannia, the UK’s answer to La Carrera, a three-day road and track event which this year begins in Harrogate in Yorkshire in June.

Seeding boost for karting prospect Jacques

Marham karting prodigy Jacques Morley has his sights firmly set on enhancing his growing reputation after being seeded for this year’s British National Championships.
The 14-year-old – who competes at the highest level of junior karting – was presented with his seeding by F1 driver Paul Di Resta, himself a former European karting champion.

Jacques, who is backed by Influx, the magazine of Adrian Flux, finished 15th of 50 drivers in last year’s KF3 championships after technical problems in the first half of the season left him with ground to make up on the leaders.
But he is hoping to move into the top 10 at least this season with the help of former world karting champion Benjy Russell’s Intrepid UK team, before moving into the KF2 class in 2013.
“I was delighted with 15th and being in a seeded position considering where we were after the first couple of races,” said Jacques, who still harbours a long-term dream of earning an F1 drive.
“The target is stop karting at 18 or before and move into single seaters. It was great to receive my seeding from Paul because he came from karting and it shows what can be done.”

Before that Jacques hopes to earn a place on the Motor Sports Association’s elite driver training programme at Loughborough College when he finishes school next summer.
Gerry Bucke, general manager at Adrian Flux, said: “Jacques is a very determined young man and we’re happy to continue to back local talent like him. It’ll be fascinating to see how far he can go.”
Jacques is looking for additional sponsorship. Local businesses should contact him via his website
