Sales Clerks

Duties are primarily telephone based, receiving calls from prospective customers, taking all relevant information and providing accurate quotations for motor insurance. Customers will need to be advised of all policy details, including policy excesses and any additional benefits. You will take payments to initiate cover, set up payment plans and deal with online quotations and occasional quotation request call-backs. Staff will be given full training on how to use the computer system and on using underwriting and sales techniques to secure business. No "cold-calling" or "hard-sell" is involved. A confident and friendly telephone manner and good communication skills are essential for this position.

The hours of working are based on a shift rota basis:

Winter Months:
9am - 5pm
10am - 6pm
11am - 7pm
Saturdays 9am - 1pm or 9am - 4pm

Summer Months:
9am - 6pm
10am - 7pm
Saturdays 9am - 1pm or 9am - 4pm

Saturdays are worked on a monthly rota system where you might work every other Saturday or less.

For each full time position the minimum starting salary is £12,000 per annum. Exact wages are dependant on each applicant's qualification and experience.
