Whatever your views on the rights and wrongs of the proliferation of speed cameras and modern enforcement technologies employed by the Police, there is no denying that, as each year passes, it is becoming easier and easier to pick up some unwanted points on your driving licence. The reality is that these days, even the most careful of drivers runs the risk of picking up a ticket for a momentary lapse in concentration.
Driverguard is a brand new product designed to help drivers cope more easily with a driving ban or loss of licence.
Starting at just £75 for an annual policy, Driverguard offers you peace of mind that if you should get caught by one or more of the 6,000 speed cameras on Britain's roads, your lifestyle can continue unimpeded by a lack of transport.
But it doesn't stop there, because if you take out one of the premium options, you can also claim if you are unable to drive through injury or if you require a courtesy car following a fault accident or theft claim. You are also covered for expenses to complete your journey, should you have an accident.
There are four levels of Driverguard cover available, which means that no matter what your budget, there is a product to suit your pocket*. Driverguard protection is available even if you already have points on your licence, with no impact on price (although conditions apply if you have 9 points current or pending**).
Driverguard Plus £75- This is the basic level of cover which will pay out up to £12,000 in the event that you lose your licence due to a speeding offence, or totting up of points. You can claim up to £1,000 in travel expenses each month, which can be spent on any combination of public transport, taxis or even your own chauffeur / driver.
Driverguard Premier £125 - Cover to keep you mobile - As well as being able to claim up to £835 in travel expenses each month in the event of a ban for speeding or totting up of offences, you can claim the same amount in the event of an injury which prevents you from driving. You can also claim up to £835 of expenses in the event of an accident to help you complete your journey. And if your car is stolen or involved in a fault accident, you can claim up to £30 per day towards a courtesy car.
Driverguard Executive £250 - Cover for the person who can't afford to be off the road. At this level you can claim up to £1,667 per month in the event of a ban or injury.
