Flux-sponsored superwoman Sarah Bennett-Baggs will be taking her Porsche Pink Panther to the track this season for the first time in four years.
The Rubystone red 1979 Porsche 911 3.0 SC fell victim to the Quarry corner in the starting lap of the Porsche Club Championship Race on August Bank Holiday 2008.
Rebuilt by Harvey Racing and raring to go, Pink Panther is back and ready to take on all-comers.
Sarah, who is sponsored by Adrian Flux Specialist Insurance, will be taking the recently-rebuilt 911 SC to the Future Classics series run by the Classic and Sports Car Club.
The series caters for sports, saloon and GT cars built in the glory years of the 1970s and 1980s. Each race lasts for more than 40 minutes with a mandatory pit-stop so that two drivers can compete.
“I am hoping to invite some old and new Porsche friends to join me throughout the season and I am really looking forward to getting back out racing a Porsche,” said Sarah.
She revealed there are also future plans to enter Pink Panther into the Tour Britannia, the UK’s answer to La Carrera, a three-day road and track event which this year begins in Harrogate in Yorkshire in June.
