A fleet of 20 fabulous Ferraris worth in excess of £120 million will take to the “catwalk” at the 2017 London Classic Car Show later this month.

Ferrari celebrates its 70th anniversary of road cars at the show and the roll of honour will include the 275 GTB, 250 California, Daytona, Dino, F40, F50, Enzo and the GTO, one of the world’s most valuable cars.

As well as the Ferraris, the show will feature a further 700 of the world’s most illustrious classic cars.

Among them will be a Jaguar C-Type, pre World War II Alvis Brooklands Special, a 9.6-litre Maudsley, a Lamborghini Miura and a 1935 Alfa Romeo 8C Aerodynamic Spider – all exhibition pieces, all in pristine condition, and each just as comfortable on the race track as they would be the road.

One of the show’s most exciting aspects is the chance to see, hear and smell these motoring icons in action on an indoor runway – the Grand Avenue – where they will be fired up and paraded catwalk-style for all to enjoy.

For the first time the show will feature the world famous Beaulieu Pop-up Autojumble selling specialist tools, out of production classic car spare parts, and all manner of motoring memorabilia and collectibles – making it a must for anyone wanting to learn how to renovate a classic car, keep a classic car on the road or even buy a classic car for investment.

This year’s show will actually be two events in one because it will incorporate the Historic Motorsport International (HMI) celebrating the UK’s place in pole position in motorsport innovation and achievement.

Part of that will be a display of cars driven by Belgian race ace Jacky Ickx, regarded by many as the world’s most complete racing driver after winning at Le Mans six times and notching eight F1 victories and 25 podium finishes.

HMI will boast 100 historic competition cars for sale and will include a seminar hosted by the writer and broadcaster Henry Hope-Frost and including luminaries from throughout the world of motorsport.

In previous years the London Classic Car Show has attracted VIP petrolheads such as James May, James Martin, Chris Evans and Jenson Button.

The London Classic Car Show is at Excel, Docklands, London from Thursday, February 23, until Sunday, February 26. Tickets are £24 in advance (£27 on the door) and that secures admission to both shows and the autojumble.
