The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Hampshire, has taken special delivery of a 2016 McLaren MSO HS – one of only 25 ever built.
The very special McLaren boasts an exceptional turn of speed, stunning styling and masses of horsepower making it a design and performance classic.
Its four-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine is capable of producing 679bhp roaring from 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds and pushing on on to reach a top speed of 203 mph.
McLaren among 250 historic British cars
The McLaren is now on display as part of the Beaulieu collection, featuring more than 250 vehicles which tell the story of British motoring history.
The HS in its name denotes “High Sport” and this McLaren is all the more special as it is one of only six built with right-hand drive, and it is the only road-going version to be finished in subtle charcoal grey.
A museum spokesman said: “Each MSO HS was built to its own unique specification by the McLaren Special Operations division to suit its owner.
“The one parked up at Beaulieu is number seven of a limited production run.

Performance is boosted by weight-saving measures such as carbon fibre panels, a polycarbonate engine cover and a titanium exhaust system.
A redesigned front bumper and splitter complement a huge rear wing, which is electronically adjustable and becomes an air-brake when needed.
McLaren conservatively valued at £700,000
The McLaren is on loan at the museum and though there is no official price tag on the car, conservative estimates put the value at around £700,000.
Beaulieu is well worth a visit and includes the National Motor Museum, new-look World of Top Gear, On Screen Cars, the ancestral Montagu home of Palace House, 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and stunning grounds and gardens.
