Radio DJ and television presenter Melvin Odoom joins the boys this week to reveal his stunning car collection and why it took him until he was 22-years-old to pass his driving test.

Odoom, who currently presents Got What It Takes? alongside Anna Maynard on CBBC, has certainly made up for lost time on joining the car club at 22 after resisting taking his test, as he enjoyed being chauffeured by his friends.

The 40-year-old who has been on TV screens for nearly two decades, certainly made up for his slow start at getting a licence as he talks to BTCC legend Jason Plato and Dave Vitty about his array of cars he’s had over the years including the likes of a BMW Coupe Z4, a Porsche 911, Bentley Continental and a Mercedes AMG GTS.

Porsche 911 is the ultimate car

After being asked by Vitty which car he would choose to own for the rest of his days, Odoom rather surprisingly went for the Porsche 911.

He explained: “If I had to pick and I know JP would say the same, you would just say Porsche 911 because it just ticks all the boxes. It can be an everyday car, it’s a supercar, it’s a car you could drive and you can make a statement, it’s opulent, but at the same time it’s not over the top.

“The thing about Porsche’s unless you know them, you could have a Porsche for 30 or 40 grand, or you can have a Porsche for 120 grand, unless you know them people wouldn’t know the difference. So for me they tick so many boxes. I always regret selling mine as it’s a collectors item.”
