The cabin was swathed in an acreage of glass &#8211; and the wedgy, louvred design was reminiscent of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alfisti.net\/248.0.html\">Alfa Carabo<\/a> and other Bertone design studies. The interior featured lizard-like green leather upholstery and switchgear replaced gear shifters &#8211; a touch that in a sense foreshadowed Ferrari&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.italiaspeed.com\/new_models\/new_models_2004\/f430\/manettino.html\">manettino<\/a> system.<\/p>\n<p>The Ramarro was unveiled in LA just ahead of the 1984 Olympic games &#8211; and though the design won many plaudits in the automotive press &#8211; stimulated no doubt by the surge of internationalism that accompanied the games &#8211; no manufacturers were inspired enough to hire Bertone&#8217;s designers.<\/p>\n<p>Shame.<\/p>\n<p><em>Film below features a period-correct soundtrack by Jean-Michel Jarre.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"\" class=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ha5AWr9QGIM?rel=0&#038;showinfo=0&#038;controls=1&#038;enablejsapi=\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chevrolet Ramarro by Bertone<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1779,110],"tags":[1001,292,2745,215,2009],"class_list":["post-20602","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-cars","category-blog","tag-american","tag-bertone","tag-chevrolet","tag-concept","tag-corvette","manufacturers-chevrolet","manufacturers-corvette"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.0 -
