But there was at each echelon of British motoring a choice selection of vehicles with real panache.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amoc.org\/\">Aston&#8217;s DB 3<\/a> right down to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mgownersclub.co.uk\/?gclid=CPbK6r7xmasCFRQPfAodW2Xkjw\">MGA<\/a> &#8211; taking in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolcars.com\/\">Bristol&#8217;s<\/a> sports cars and of course Jaguar&#8217;s XK series on the way &#8211; the English motorist, as long as he had a bit of cash at his disposal, was spoilt for choice.<\/p>\n<p>For us we would have gone for the Bentley Continental Park Ward coup\u00e9 convertible (above) &#8211; preferably in patriotic racing green with, perhaps, a deep chocolate brown hood and leather to match.<\/p>\n<p>Perfect for both intercontinental dash
