Hands up. We didn’t realise until we were about to post these that they were actually still life shots of immaculate diecast models.
We know that there’s a burgeoning market these days in collectible diecast classics – but we are blown away at the level of finish and detail on these recreations of famous movie cars from Turkish photographer Cihan Ünalan.
Reminds us of a story we ran (THE TOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN) in edition 4 of Influx a few years back. Check it out here. Makes us remember, too, how the essence of our fascination with cars remains the same as it ever was. Fantasies of escape, freedom, spills, thrills and speed.
Car manufacturers had better remember that!
