Lego X Land Cruiser Update

Back in the sunbathed summer months we brought you news of a LEGO Ideas project that we felt warranted some Influx support.

That was the recreation, by modeller Matthew Inman, of the classic Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Series. The LEGO Ideas concept invites devotees to send in shots and details of their passion projects with the chance of a production run if they can garner enough crowd appeal.

We tipped the wink about Matt’s creation to our contact at Toyota and they loved it. The great news is that the 40 Series has crashed through the 10,000 vote ceiling and is through to the next stage on the road to a real life LEGO factory run.

Read all about here on the official Toyota blog where there’s an interview with the maker himself. We add our congrats and are swelled with a modicum of pride at thought that we added a plastic brick in the building of this story of success.
