Formula 1 commentator and Le Mans driver Alex Brundle is starting his own racing team, Brundle Motorsport, with the help of some very special partners.
We are delighted to announce Adrian Flux are the title partners for Brundle’s new foray into the classic racing motorsport scene, which will see Alex and other special celebrity racing guests compete at historic racing circuits such as Brands Hatch and Goodwood.
Brundle has competed in some of the world’s most iconic races, such as Le Mans 24 and the World Endurance Championship, but is now turning his hand to leading a brand new team.
Gerry Bucke, our general manager, said: “We are proud to have been working with Alex since 2020 and the launch of Brundle Motorsport is an exciting step in our relationship.
“Our love of motorsport and classic cars makes this the perfect fit for our company and we’re looking forward to seeing how Alex and the team perform, as well as sharing footage and news from some of the great projects he has planned.”
Brundle Motorsport will see famous names competing in iconic cars, including a Jaguar E-Type, a Mini and a 1965 Ford Mustang.
You will be able to see all of the race highlights and behind-the-scenes action on his YouTube channel, as well as past videos where he has shared the wheel of his Mustang race car with cycling royaltySir Chris Hoy, Grand Tour test driver Abbie Eaton, and Jimmy Broadbent.
Brundle Motorsport will also be partnering with renowned historical car mechanics Pearsons Engineering to ensure the cars are in pristine condition before they head out onto the starting grid.
In the meantime though, Alex cannot hide his excitement for the year ahead: “Historic motorsport ignites my passion for racing action, as it should be. Fast, loud, well attended, and exciting”, he explains.
“I’m in a lucky ‘sweet spot’ of having some understanding of the cars alongside a knowledge of the sport and media landscape as it is now. With that comes a responsibility to communicate everything I see as remarkable about this type of motorsport.”
