A new episodic documentary from Ford on the launch of the new RS totem

It is hotly anticipated. It is looking beautiful (in that typical, utilitarian way). It is Ford’s latest Focus RS.

Launched this week is a new video series from Ford, which features Ken Block and Ford’s head of product development travelling from Michigan to Germany and back again. The series traces the roots and development of the five door everyman hooligan – and with surprising candour gives us a peak inside the organisation’s processes.

The car is available to order now at £28,940 for customer delivery in early 2016, with the UK’s waiting list already topping 500 prospective owners before prices were announced last week.

The car debuts new Ford Performance All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring for outstanding traction and grip and features a specially-engineered version of Ford’s new 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine. This engine produces 350PS for what Ford reckon is a 4.7-second pullaway.

Is this going to be a stone cold future classic?

You decide.
