"images via Pipeburn The postcolonial custom scene isn't one that gets a lot of attention. But Thrive motorcycles is an example of how the custom bike scene is finding adherents in parts of the world you might not have expected. "
This monster is currently the fastest Naked Street Bike in the world – having clocked 172 MPH this year at Bonneville.
Its not the sort of bike you’d consider for a daily ride – it’s the prototype X132 Hellcat Combat, and it uses a ‘132-cubic-inch S&S XWedge’ engine and it achieves 160 lb-ft of torque and 160 horsepower. It’s the same engine used by Confederate for their production model Hellcat, but with a variety of performance optimizing adjustments that push the bike to its limit.
The good ole Alabama boys plans to make 32 of these custom bikes and will offer them next year for $72,000.
Lots of cash for a bike: but as a world beater, there are sure to be takers. Not much fun in the twisty lanes of England, though, methinks.https://vimeo.com/50227661
