Adrian Flux is delighted to announce it will once again sponsor Jason Plato as he prepares to step back into British Touring Car Championship action.
The BTCC legend sat out a heavily coronavirus pandemic affected 2020 campaign while his Power Maxed Racing team opted to enter just one car and use a different driver for each round.
But Plato will be back come the season opening round at Thruxton on May 9 looking to increase his already record haul of 97 race wins alongside his yet-to-be-named PMR team-mate.

“We’ve had lots of fun backing him, as well as BTCC, and can’t wait for him to get back behind the wheel again after sitting out the 2020 season. Here’s to hoping he can achieve the remarkable feat of reaching 100 race wins this year and we can all get back to circuits to enjoy watching him and his rivals later in the campaign.”
Plato, the co-host of the Fuelling Around – a motoring podcast powered by Adrian Flux – will be making his 600th race start when the campaign gets under way in Hampshire.
“Obviously 2020 was less than ideal for many of us, but, for me at least, it gave me time to put a lot of things into perspective,” Plato told PMR’s official website.
“I was lucky enough to be able to spend a lot more time than I normally would at home with the family, but I’m itching to get back in a race car now. It’s the longest I’ve been without racing, and it’s made me appreciate just how much I love it, and I have really missed my team.
“I’m excited about the future with Power Maxed Racing, and winning the final race in 2019 has lit a fire underneath me, so I’m more than ready to get back out and win my 100th race.”
