Earlier this year, we tasked Alex Brundle with rebuilding a 1965 Ford Mustang to make it racing ready. With the help of Pearsons Engineering, Alex and the team have started the dramatic rebuild of this classic car. 

In the first part of our video series with Alex and the team, they were able to add a new fuel tank to the rear of the car, adjust the pedal box, add a completely brand new dashboard and readjust the front bumper so it fits snug to the frame of the Ford Mustang. 

Alex took on the task of making this classic car racing ready after buying what was essentially a shell and admits he had underestimated how long it would take to repair one of Ford’s most iconic models. 

“It’s really really intimidating to sit in the middle of a complete shell like this, thinking about how much work I’ve got to do. “I’ve got awesome help from Pearsons Engineering, I have a feeling it might be me helping them, more than them helping me” Alex joked.
