Influx Calendar – January

Cars

Lucky enough to have received an Influx calendar?

In November 2018 we launched our 2019 Influx calendar – an exclusive look at some iconic car designs for those who attended the show.

January 2019 sees the incredible Porsche 911 adorn our walls, a car chosen as a true icon of vehicle design.

This particular car was a 1971 Porsche 911S  (2.2)

The owner, Bill, told us more about this example:

“I bought the car in Surrey, as it is, about 12 years ago. It was supplied new, and orange, to an owner in Switzerland but later found its way to Italy where it was converted to an FIA legal race car and a genuine (210bhp) 1973 2.7 RS Carrera engine and 915 gearbox were fitted.
“It was raced in both countries and I have raced it a few times at Silverstone. It’s a fantastic car and handles well.  It’s 1000kg all in, has RSR brakes and uprated torsion bars and setup.
“It’s tough to think of what car from the calendar I’d swap it with. But I’d go for the Renault Alpine A110 – which luckily I also own.”

This January car kicks off a year of fantastic and beautiful car designs which will take in everything from the Alpine mentioned above, to LaFerrari and Bugatti.
